Here is your chance to promote yourself,
or your company to a wider audience, and improve your Search
Engine Rankings.
Get your Blog seen by thousands, and listed on Google as well
as all the other search engines. If you haven’t used
the power of blogging now is your chance to use it for free.
What can I write about?
The first thing you need to know is your blog should not simply
be an advertisement.
Twitter Users
You
can promote your twitter account by writing about what
you promote, your hobby, or what you know. For instance if
your twitter account is about food, tell your blog readers
your favourite recipe, how to prepare, what ingredients to
use etc. The only reference to your Twitter account or your
product, should be at the bottom:- Article
by [your Twitter account] If people like what
you write they will follow you and buy from you.
Promote your Business.
If you are a business write about something you have recently
done, such as a trade show. Give advice and helpful information,
don’t try to sell your product, or offer a freebie.
Sign your article as your name@your
company.com.
If you are a Business you will realise how powerful a blog
can be, and how powerful an external link can be. If you aren’t
on Twitter you should be, use the follow
us Twitter link to open your account.

How to Write Your Blog
You should write your blog, the same way you talk to people.
Don’t try any selling techniques, your audience have
seen all these before, and it will deter them from reading
further.
Keep your blog simple and easy to read, the wording should
be in English and words should be easy to understand, no abbreviations.
Your blog will be displayed as a full page article on our
site. A lot of visitors whose first language is not English
will use the Language Translator on the page where your article
appears. The translator is a computer programme, which uses
basic language; long words, abbreviations, or words that are
hardly used on the internet may be translated wrongly. Write
the article first, check the spelling, and the number of words,
then write the Title
Your blog should be 350 to 700 words
approximately. The dotted line above is the average amount
of words appearing in each blog. In addition to this, we will
insert the link for your readers to read the full article,
and of course your signature “your
name @ twitter, or, your name @your company.com” This
will give you a link on each blog.
This portion will be placed on 3 separate
blogs. Firstly on our website [blog
address ] the second on our server [blog
address ] and the third on our Blogger platform [blog
spot address] as well as several others which pick up
from these blogs.
The blog on our site is sent
to a list of blogging search engines, directories
etc. The list is reproduced at the bottom of the page.
The comments section has been disabled to encourage visitors
to comment on the page the article appears. The
Blog on our server is promoted by our server.
The blogger platform, Blog Spot
is part of Google who obviously list this very quickly.
Each and every one of these links are picked up and listed
by all the major search engines giving you thousands of extra
links.
For MAXIMUM exposure to search
engines and directories, you should consider providing 3 different
titles and 3 different pieces of text for the first part of
the blog, that is the piece that is going to appear on the
blog itself. [Gets you listed under 3 headings] Each one should
end with the visitor wanting to click on the “Read
the Full Article” link.
After proof reading this completed article, these other titles
sprung to mind: “Want to be a
Blogger?” “Tell a
Story”: “What’s
a Blogger?” : “ Is
it Good to Blog?”
I can now set about writing two more
short blogs, both feeding into my main article.
I would take a heading such as “ How
to write your Blog?” rename it “Tips
on Blog Writing” or “Writing
Your Blog” Then I would write 150 or so words
giving a slightly different angle to my original paragraph”
with a ‘read more’
link to the page where my blog is. If
you just copy it word for word it could be considered “Spam”.
You may have noticed that all the text
in orange, are key words , and you can take each set
of words, add a bit more text and a link to your article to
each one, and then you have about 15
tweets you can use to link to your article, over the
space of a month.
You can also insert after the article
a short description of yourself if you wish.
You will receive a shortened URL for the page your article
is placed on, so you can send it to your followers or email
list. You should encourage your
visitors to link to it, tweet it or click the facebook ‘like
button’ the more times this is done the more people
will find you.
In addition to the publicity your blog receives, we will place
a link to from our Article Directory, and reproduce the article
in PDF format, which can be downloaded from the PDF Library.
If you find this successful for you, you are welcome to write
another article/blog.
Your Blog / Article should be sent to Vic
Farron in word format as an attachment
