M1 Shuttle

Express Couriers have revolutionized the single pallet delivery
with the “M1 Shuttle”. Primarily set up in June
2006 for the small to medium sized companies, the service has
gone from strength to strength.
•
Picking up in Yorkshire during the day and early evening.
• Leaving West Yorkshire from midnight onwards, dropping
off at destinations open on a 24 hour basis.
• The balance of the load delivered in the London area
from 6.00 a.m.
• Collections in the London area are usually completed
by 11-00 a.m. [Please note the London collection tend to be
oversubscribed very quickly, with London rates starting at
£1.50 per mile,
the M1 Shuttle rate is very attractive at £0.75 per
mile.*
• Returning to West Yorkshire for
same day for next day delivery. Although set up for the small
to medium sized business, larger companies have seen the benefits
of this service, with companies booking space on a contractual
basis for each nights delivery.
• Courier companies too are finding this useful in cutting
costs by 50% or more.
• Due to the increasing volume of traffic, more vans
are being added to the shuttle run, leaving at different times.
By booking space early, pick up times can be delayed up to
10-00 p. m.
• As before apart from those companies who wish to contract
for specific days, space will be allocated on a first come
first served basis.
• This personalized service has proved popular, and
very cost effective for single standard pallet 1200mm x1000mm
x 1800mm high [max 500 kgs] deliveries, with parcels volumized
to accommodate the pallet rate.

per loaded mile applies to collection and delivery
points within 10 mile of the M1 from Leeds to London (includes
50% discount if payment is made before the 14th of the month
following transit) Collections and/or deliveries exceeding
10 mile from the M1 are charged at £1.20 per mile for
the excess mileage (includes 20% discount if payment is made
before the 14th of the month following transit) Congestion
charges, tolls, parking fines [associated with delivery/collection]
are at rate prevailing at time.

The rate of £1
per mile from base is applicable to UK and European destinations.
Standard Goods in Transit
insurance is in force for £25,000 Europe cover is £250,000.
