RFT
Express Couriers have offered a professional service since the
company was started in 1998. Understanding what our customers
needs are, and providing a cost effective solution to those needs,
has helped RFT Express Couriers to grow into the business we are
today. All our customers receive the same level of service, whether
they are a blue chip international company, or a small 1 man company.
RFT
Express has always stressed the importance a professional couriers
company can have on the reputation of your business. With the
majority of small to medium businesses, the most visual contact
your customers have of your company is that of the courier company
delivering your products and your reputataion. The majority of
our fleet doesn't carry our name and logo, your customer automatically
assumes that the polite, well dressed courier driver is part of
your company.Old fashioned values still work very well when promoting
your company.
From inception
RFT Express Couriers has continued to grow in several directions
The recession inspires many companies to
chase the extra business naturally created in a recession. Your
competitors struggle to survive or go under, this leaves a lot
of business there for the asking. RFT Express showed a steady
increase, during 2008, with a higher increase during the first
half of 2009. The same day delivery of Pallets and Hanging Garments
on a 24 hour basis throughout mainland UK and Europe using 3500
kg. long wheel base vans, has always been the main core of our
business. Contract and trunk runs continue to increase.
Hanging Garment
Deliveries
Hanging Garment Deliveries have seen the biggest increase with
Germany showing the largest increase. All European deliveries
and collection have seen an overall 25% increase, due in part
to the falling pound and the result of RFT Express targeting this
market. Co-operation with oversees distribution companies as well
as exporters/ importers seeking to reduce costing's during the
recession have helped boost this sector. UK multi-drops to shops
is steadily increasing, particularly with new winter stock being
delivered, and the run up to Christmas. A lot of trade in this
market has been picked from one of the market leaders, who has
pulled out of this sector. Companies who chose during the recession
to send garments out in boxes through the pallet and parcel networks
in order to reduce costs, are now changing back to Hanging Garment
deliveries, with their customers dictating how their stock is
delivered. We still have companies moving garments and cloth to
and from sub contract factories to warehouses and distribution
points, from there we deliver to retail and wholesale outlets
nationwide and Europe.
RFT Express Pallet
Deliveries
The
next day delivery of pallets using several pallet distribution
networks, has reduced costs for many customers, and still remains
a cost effective viable alternative for customers. However there
has been a marked increase in customers changing back to deliveries
on a dedicated vehicle, particularly for European destinations.
The fact that pallets are continually moved from vehicles to distribution
depots and back to vehicles, with the increased possibility of
damage and missed delivery times, that the end user is now insisting
on dedicated vehicles for prompt delivery, and a much higher insurance
cover on their goods during transit.
RFT Express M1
Shuttle
The
M1 Shuttle has proved to be a very popular cost effective alternative
for customers and courier companies, cutting costs and carbon
emissions. With pickups in the Yorkshire area during the day-early
evening, dropping off during the night where possible, with the
balance of the load being delivered in the London area early morning.
The M1 shuttle gives the advantage of a dedicated vehicle, with
the cost savings similar to the overnight pallet networks. Collections
in the London area are very quickly oversubscribed, where delivery
rates tend to be very high.
RFT Express Couriers
Multi Drop
RFT
Express Couriers multi drop business, covers the UK mainland,
delivering to business and domestic customers. A variety of goods
are distributed, and some companies are now finding that it can
be cost effective to Multi Drop from the UK to Europe, using a
dedicated vehicle.
